Portugal wins “Oscar” of the best tourist destination in the world for the 3rd time!
Portugal was distinguished as the best tourist destination in the world for the third consecutive year by the World Travel Awards, in a ceremony that took in Muscat, Oman.
This distinction was awarded for the first time to Portugal in 2017,
renewed in 2018 and again in 2019, Portugal had also been re-elected the
best tourist destination in Europe for the third consecutive year, at the time in a ceremony that took place in Madeira.
Alongside Portugal were nominated for this award, Brazil, Colombia,
Costa Rica, Dubai, Greece, India, Indonesia, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia,
Maldives, Mauritius, Morocco, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Africa, Spain,
Sri Lanka, United States and Vietnam.
Turismo de Portugal was also distinguished for the third consecutive year by the World Travel Awards, as the “Best Official Tourism Organization in the World“.
